Every quilt project begins with fusing the fabrics with Mistyfuse. I was asked to make a 12” square fish quilt for SAQA Florida for their Fresh Fish exhibit that will be displayed at the SAQA conference in April of 2022

I had theses leftover from another project, and I thought they would make good fish bodies. These fabrics are from my Hopscotch fabric line with RJR 

And wouldn’t it be fun to use this bird fabric from my watercolors? 

Perhaps showing my sense of humor? 

The fish needed crowns too. This was fused onto a piece of black wool blended felt from National Nonwovens. I don’t use batting and don’t need to do binding

I have really enjoyed getting in touch of painting again 

I am fine. My sinuses were clear. It’s STRESS. Need more exercise and less news

I had a hard week with health issues and a project I’ve been working on since March has been a pain to deal with

I have to admit that the 4th of July was emotionally rough being by ourselves

32 years of 4th of July celebrations and we skipped it this year! 

Watched 13th on Netflix was eye opening about private prisons and injustice

I started a new painting project using 10” wood squares and acrylic paint

Started a new book series while I wait for Elly Griffiths new book in the Ruth Galloway series to come out. I’ve read over 45 books since January

This is a chat book. It’s an app on my iPad. 8x8 size. I also like their 6x6” books. This documents the super bloom in my main garden. All of the pics from my iPad and from IG.
